Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Name Extension Program

The Buddhist Society of India's programme.

On behalf of the Samata Sainik Dal of The Buddhist Society of India, the name expansion program of the university 'Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University' was concluded at Aurangabad.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar established a large educational center at Verul, Ajantha near Aurangabad. Babasaheb's plan was to benefit the majority who were deprived of education. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar established the People's Education Society's Milind College at Nagsen One near Aurangabad. Marathwada University was established in 1958 after the independence of India in this area.

Ambedkari people protested to name the Marathwada University after Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, some youths were martyred in this protest. Further, on 14 January 1994, the name of Marathwada University was changed to Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.

 The Samata Sainik Dal of The Buddhist Society of India paid tribute to the martyred soldiers on 14 January 2023.

दि बुद्धिस्ट सोसायटी ऑफ इंडिया च्या समता सैनिक दलाच्या वतीने औरंगाबाद येथे 'डॉक्टर बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर मराठवाडा विद्यापीठ' या विद्यापीठाच्या नाम विस्ताराचा कार्यक्रम संपन्न झाला.

डॉक्टर बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी वेरूळ, अजिंठा लगत औरंगाबाद येथे एक मोठे शिक्षण केंद्र उभारले.  शिक्षणापासून वंचित राहिलेल्या बहुसंख्यांकासाठी उपयोग व्हावा असे बाबासाहेबांचे नियोजन होते. डॉक्टर बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी पीपल्स एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या मिलिंद महाविद्यालयाची स्थापना औरंगाबाद जवळच्या नागसेन वन येथे केली. याच परिसरात भारताला स्वातंत्र्य मिळाल्यानंतर 1958 साली मराठवाडा विद्यापीठ स्थापन केले.

मराठवाडा विद्यापीठाला डॉक्टर बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचे नाव देण्यासाठी आंबेडकरी जनतेने आंदोलन केले या आंदोलनात काही तरुण शहीद झाले. पुढे 14 जानेवारी 1994 ला मराठवाडा विद्यापीठाचे नाव बदलून डॉक्टर बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर मराठवाडा विद्यापीठ असे नामविस्तार करण्यात आले.

 दि बुद्धिस्ट सोसायटी ऑफ इंडिया च्या समता सैनिक दलाच्या वतीने  दिनांक 14 जानेवारी 2023 रोजी शहीद जवानांना मानवंदना देण्यात आली.

Military training camp

A military training camp has been organized under the Taluka Branch Mulshi under The Buddhist Society of India Pune District Branch.

Soldier training camp has been organized for two days from 14th January 2023 to 15th January 2023.

This training camp will be guided by Major Malhari Londhe, Major Anil Kamble, Central Teacher Prabhatai Kedare.

Today on January 14, 2023, the training camp was inaugurated by Pune District President Prakash Oval in the presence of Pune District General Secretary Radhakant Kamble, Pune District Treasurer Bhimrao Dhobale.

Shramner camp completed in Panvel taluka

 The Shramner camp was organized in Panvel taluka under the Raigad district branch of The Buddhist Society of India.

On Friday 13th January 2023, the concluding program of the Shramner camp was concluded at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan Rasaani. In this program, National Secretary Honorable B. H. Gaikwad was present as the chief guide. 

Chief Guide Reverend B. H. Gaikwad said in his speech that lakhs of workers under the leadership of Venerable Meeratai Ambedkar, Venerable Bhimrao Ambedkar are making efforts to create an ideal society in the concept of Bodhisattva Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar. However, we should participate with body, mind and money'.

Sushil Waghmare, General Secretary of Maharashtra State Branch, Vijay Kamble, Treasurer of Maharashtra State Branch, Sunandatai Waghmare, Member of Central Women's Department, Raigad District General Secretary Vijay Kamble, Ushatai Kamble, Kamaltai Kamble etc. were present in the said program.

 

Meeting of Uttar Pradesh State Branch concluded.

 The meeting of the Uttar Pradesh State Branch of The Buddhist Society of India was held.

The meeting was concluded in the presence of Honorable K.P Hitaishi, National Vice President of The Buddhist Society of India and under the chairmanship of Honorable Rajveer Singh Boudh, Regional President of Uttar Pradesh State Branch.

 State president Rajveer Singh Buddh reviewed the camps held so far. Also, he gave each district the target of which camps should be conducted in the future for the propagation of Buddhist Dhamma.

 Officials of Agra, Mathura, Etah, Aligarh and Firozabad districts were present for this meeting.

Dhamma Parishad at Killary

 Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's Dhammakranti should be more dynamic: Bhimrao Ambedkar

The Dhamma Parishad concluded at Killari on Sunday 8th January 2023. India is the birthplace of Tathagata Gautama Buddha. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has played a major role in reviving the Dhamma established by Tathagata Buddha. That is why the Dhamma revolution has taken root due to the practice of Buddhist Dhamma all over the world. Bhimrao Ambedkar Saheb, National Working President of Indian Buddhist Mahasabha, expected that this Dhammakranti should be more dynamic.

Bhimrao Ambedkar Saheb was speaking at the second Dhamma Parishad organized under the guidance of Bhante Dhammasara Dhammasara at Sanghamitra and Taxila Buddha Vihara in Killari.

Some of the important resolutions passed in the Dhamma Parishad at Killari are as follows.

1) A Pali language university should be established in Maharashtra on the lines of Hindi and Sanskrit universities.

2) Hundred percent subsidy should be given for Pali language.

3) Kalamb Road Railway Station should be named after Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar.

4) Excavations at Ter Dhokhi in Osmanabad taluk and Tirtha Budruk in Tuljapur taluk have been found in the excavations as Buddha idol sculpture has been stopped, it should be started immediately .

New Executive of Madhya Pradesh State Branch

On 8th January 2023, The Buddhist Society of India Madhya Pradesh State Branch was made the new State Executive. Two new State Executives of Madhya Pradesh State Branch namely Madhya Pradesh (South) State Branch and Madhya Pradesh (North) State Branch were formed.

Trustee and National Treasurer of The Buddhist Society of India Mr. Ratan Somkuvar Saheb was present for the selection process of Madhya Pradesh State Branch. 

Also the National Vice President of the organization respected S.K. Bhandare Saheb, National Vice President of the Institute Bhimrao Kamble Saheb, National General Secretary of the Institute Sankarrao Dhengare Saheb, National Secretary of the Institute BH Gaikwad Saheb, National Organizer of the Institute Gautam Patil Saheb were present.

Hon'ble Charandas Dhengre was elected as the President of Madhya Pradesh South State Branch and Hon'ble BT Gajbhiye as the President of Madhya Pradesh North State Branch.

Every full moon is very important in Buddhism. Because on every full moon, something special happened in the life of Buddha. Therefore, Buddhist people celebrate the full moon of every month in the form of a festival. The full moon of Paush month was on the sixth of January 2023. Following are the three events that happened in the life of Lord Buddha on this full moon. 

(One) Lord Buddha's visit to Rajgriha.

(Two) Dhammadiksha of King Bimbisara 

(Three) Dhammadiksha of Maharani Khema 

These three important events happened in the life of Buddha. Congratulations to the branches who organized sermons on the day of Paush Purnima through the Bharatiya Buddhist Mahasabha and gave charity.
