A grand Buddha statue was installed at Kankapur in Nirmal district through the Telangana state branch of The Buddhist Society of India. Under the guidance of Dr. Bhimrao Yashwant Ambedkar, the grandson of the architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and the national working president of the Buddhist Society of India, the grand Buddha statue installation program was completed on Sunday, January 29, 2023. The Dhamma Deeksha program was concluded at Supparak Buddha Vihara of Taluka Branch Nalasopara Branch under The Buddhist Society of India District Branch Palghar. On 26th January 2023 on Republic Day Venerable Bhante Dhammapriya initiated 200 OBC brothers into Buddhist Dhamma.
